DTF vs. Embroidery
Choose DTF (Direct to Film) when your design has complex gradients, small fine text, or photorealistic details. While embroidery is great for logos, DTF is the king of high-definition artwork and large-scale back prints that would be too heavy or expensive to stitch.
While embroidery is known for lasting the lifetime of the garment, modern DTF is incredibly resilient. It is rated for 50+ washes without cracking or peeling, provided the garment is washed inside out. Unlike traditional screen printing, DTF remains flexible and "stretches" with the fabric.
Not at all. One of the biggest advantages of DTF is its "soft hand" feel. Even though it's a heat-applied transfer, the film is incredibly thin and breathable, making it much more comfortable for large designs compared to a thick, "bulletproof" block of embroidery stitching.
Yes! This is where DTF shines. While embroidery can sometimes "pucker" on thin t-shirts or performance wear, DTF applies perfectly to cotton, polyester, blends, and even nylon without distorting the fabric's shape.
